What is Ultherapy?
The beauty of sound — seen! Ultherapy is the next evolution in aesthetic science, delivering focused ultrasound energy to the same foundational layer typically addressed by surgeons during cosmetic surgery – without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin! Ultherapy treatment harnesses the power of ultrasound to deliver its collagen-boosting effect.
Ultherapy skin tightening works on face, neck, and chest wrinkles by stimulating collagen production. We use Ultherapy for eyes, and patients can receive an Ultherapy brow lift for fine lines around the eyebrows. Ultherapy lower face treatments address jowls, but patients with hanging necks, droopy eyes, and muscle laxity may not be good candidates for an Ultherapy face lift — we may recommend an alternative, more effective procedure.
How does Ultherapy work?
Ultrasound imaging technology allows the practitioner to identify the bone and muscle underneath the skin, ensuring the treatment energy targets the area where it will be most beneficial. This energy initiates the body’s natural response to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen and strengthen weak collagen. It also works superficially (less deep) to treat surface fine lines and wrinkles, crepey skin around the eyes, crow’s feet, and eyebrow lifting.
Length of treatment
The length of treatment depends on the number of areas receiving Ultherapy and can range from 30-90 minutes per session.
Downtime
There is no downtime associated with Ultherapy.
Results
After the procedure, it takes a few weeks to see collagen production. Ultherapy should be performed every one to two years for optimal results. We can combine Ultherapy with same-day non-invasive fillers, lasers, botox, etc.
