How do chemical peels work?

Chemical peels have one or more caustic agents, such as trichloroacetic acid (TCA), Jessner’s solution, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and phenol. There are different concentrations and different protocols to exfoliate to a consistent depth. Chemical peels range from light to deep peels.
