How Does Sculptra Work?
Sculptra is an injectable dermal filler that helps fight aging skin. The formula is a mixture of powder, water/saline solution, and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) produced by Galderma. The poly-L-lactic acid works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful appearance. Moreover, this dermal filler works by stimulating natural collagen production in the skin to help restore deteriorated bone structure and increase volume.
How Long is a Sculptra Treatment?
Sculptra procedures take about 10 minutes or more, depending on the treatment area.
What is the Recovery Time After A Sculptra Treatment?
There is no downtime or additional recovery time associated with Sculptra injections. Most cases return to normal activity immediately.
What are the Results of a Sculptra Injection Treatment?
The ultimate result of a Sculptra treatment is fuller-looking skin. Your skin will eventually look plumper, bouncier, and more youthful. Additionally, you can see maximum effect around five to six months post-injection. Results of a Sculptra treatment can last up to two years. Importantly, this dermal filler requires several injections to work optimally. An 8-week follow-up for about 2 to 3 sessions is typical, and afterward, only a yearly follow-up is required.
