Is microneedling safe?

Yes. When performed with devices like SkinPen® by trained professionals, microneedling is considered very safe for all skin types. Side effects are mild, such as redness or sensitivity for a day or two.

Is microneedling painful?

Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to ensure comfort, and any sensitivity usually resolves within 24 hours.

How does microneedling work?

Microneedling works by creating thousands of tiny, controlled microchannels in the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries trigger your body’s natural healing response, which stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. As your skin repairs itself, texture becomes smoother, pores appear smaller, scars and fine lines soften, and overall tone looks brighter and more even.

How long does microneedling last?

Most patients enjoy results for 6–12 months, depending on skin condition, age, and aftercare. We recommend a series of 3–4 initial treatments, followed by annual maintenance.

Can you do microneedling while pregnant?

We don’t recommend microneedling during pregnancy due to increased skin sensitivity and lack of safety studies on topical serums often used during treatment.
