What is Stem-Scalp?

Many people experience thinning hair — but you do not have to be one of them! Whether it is androgenic alopecia, frontal fibrosing alopecia, or another form of hair loss, this scalp treatment is tried and true!

Stem-Scalp is a non-surgical procedure for hair follicle stimulation, and it is exclusive to Shino Bay Cosmetic Dermatology & Laser Institute! This procedure uses the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from your blood to stimulate hair follicles naturally and encourage hair growth! Your blood contains stem cells and growth factors that assist in tissue regeneration and healing, promoting new growth. A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and placed in a centrifuge to separate the PRP. After numbing the treatment area, your PRP is applied topically with microneedling or via injections (depending on your requirements). An alopecia treatment with no surgery may be the option for you!

Length of treatment

This effective scalp treatment takes under an hour to perform.

Downtime

There is little to no downtime with the Stem-Scalp procedure, and it is effective as an alopecia areata treatment or for other types of hair loss.

NeoGraft Hair Transplant

We may use Stem-Scalp after our NeoGraft Hair Restoration procedure to stimulate hair follicles and promote growth.

Stem Scalp

Results

Stem-Scalp promotes new hair growth, reduces hair loss, and can be effective as a traction alopecia treatment along with other types of hair loss. We recommend regular maintenance to maintain the effect.
