Calcium hydroxylapetite is a natural occurring mineral that is commonly found in bone and teeth to give them their support and strength. Up to 50% of bone is made up of a modified form of the inorganic mineral Hydroxylapetite. Therefore, it is commonly use as a filler in vocal cord insufficiency, as coating to promote bone ingrowth into prosthetic implants, as a filler to replace amputated bone, and recently in cosmetics to correct volume depletion and improved folds and wrinkles.

Radiesse shows us how to understand the aging face, and the importance of volume restoration in order to bring the clock back. I quickly stopped filling nasolabial folds (creases near the nose) if I saw that they were the symptoms of a face that was deflating and falling down.

Radiesse is excellent in rebuilding back the cheeks and other areas of volume depletion. I also use it to improve hollow eyes, hollow temples, aging hands , and to reshape noses. It is a very versatile product and what I like is that what you see is what you get.

It is my product of choice when I see that someone has facial asymmetry due to volume loss in only one side of his/her face as a result of being a face sleeper or having a subtle congenital bone deformity, or bone deformity secondary to blunt trauma. The goal is to restore the volume loss, but even more important than that, is to bring symmetry and balance back to the face in order to increase the level of attractiveness.
