Dermatopathology

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends yearly skin checks to examine moles and remove unusual ones that are often overlooked by patients. Since we live in Southern Florida with almost year-round high exposure to the sun, skin checks are especially important. Dr. Aguilera is well-trained in Dermatopathology and recogniizing the early warning signs of skin cancer. If caught early, skin cancers are most often very treatable and can be completely eliminated before they become serious.

Laser Leg Veins

A beam of optimally tuned laser light is used to permeate the skin without and collapse whatever unwanted veins you have.  Veins are then naturally absorbed into the body and thereby eliminated.  No needles are necessary for this treatment.  Though most can be treated by laser, depending on size and type, some veins may be better suited for treatment using our Sclerotherapy techniques.

Laser Acne Treatments

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is one of the most prevalent treatments for spider and varicose veins.  During the treatment, a sclerosing agent is injected into the vein through a tiny needle, treatment can last from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on the number of veins treated in a particular session.  Upon injection, the solution replaces the blood in the vein, generating irritation and corrosion to the walls of the vessel.  The body then initiates the natural healing process and the vein begins to decompose, shrink and eventually disappear.
